SERVICE PROJECTS

Leader: Anu Kunnathusseril

As a mission parish, the members of St. James are strongly committed to serving each other as well as our surrounding communities. In Matthew 28: 19-20, we are called to love as Christ loved, to use our time, talents, and treasures as tools of service in fulfillment of the Great Commission, that all people may come to know the saving love of our Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Every month we host multiple service events in order to serve the physical and spiritual needs of our brothers and sisters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The St. James Orthodox Mission Church currently offers the following ministries to its members. We hope to increase the scope of our ministries as we continue to grow as parish.

MINISTRIES

Sunday School
SUNDAY SCHOOL

Principal: Jinu Mathew

Vice Principal: Rinsy Thomas

Our Sunday School is the teaching ministry of our Church for our youngest members, ages 3 -18. The focus of our Sunday School is to educate our children about the Christian faith with an emphasis on biblical scriptures and Orthodox traditions. We use fun, child-centered activities such as arts and crafts, games and music to spread the Word of God.

WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP

Leaders: Reena Philips + Jainy Selvakumar

Our women’s fellowship group, Women of Worship (WOW), is dedicated to building the sisterhood of our adult female members through bible studies and discussions about Christian life. We also host service projects and participate in women’s events with our sister parishes.

MEN'S FELLOWSHIP

Leader: Eugene Abraham _ Robbie Hernandez

The men's fellowship group strengthens the bonds between the adult male members of St. James through monthly bible studies and engaging discussions.

Service Ministry

But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. - St. James 2:18
